Lori’s career in Physical Therapy began over 40 years ago, after graduating from Tuskegee University in 1982. She began her career at Harmarville Rehab center specializing in outpatient orthopedic treatment. She became certified in “Fitness for Everyone”, a program focused on group fitness activities for individuals with varied orthopedic and neurological conditions, encouraging flexibility and strengthening to enhance quality of life.
Lori’s career then led her to Health South of Greater Pittsburgh and The Pittsburgh Public Schools where she worked with children with various disabilities, supporting them in an inclusive environment within the school system.
Throughout her career, she has continued to expand her knowledge and skill set through her continuing education courses. She has become certified in PWR (Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery) allowing her to develop programs to address the unique needs of individuals with Parkinsons.
In her free time outside of Physical therapy you can find her at LA Fitness, planting in her garden or at Hobby Lobby looking for crafts.
